In 1969 Blue Heaven was established in Hong Kong. The company imported the best European crystal chandeliers and filled a void in the market for high quality and exceptional decorative lighting, by offering exquisite and bespoke chandeliers, handcrafted by artisans.
By the 80s and 90s, Blue Heaven became a distinct brand among designers and homeowners in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia. In anticipation of the rapid growth of consumerism in China, the Chui family set their expansion sights on China and in 2000, the first Bao Xi Lai (meaning ‘Imperial Luxury’) showroom was opened in Shanghai to introduce the concept of luxury lighting of superior standards.
At the same time, Raymond Chui, second-generation owner and Managing Director, envisioned building a lifestyle brand that embodied crystals to enhance and elevate life. He saw this through creating timeless art pieces, brought to life by combining crystal, craftsmanship and light. His plan paved the way for Crystallize.Me – an overarching brand and company – that redefined the four traditional Chinese pillars of living – fashion, culinary arts, home and discovery.
Raymond created additional brands specialising in interior design (RayLiving and Venice Room), art (Bao Gallery), glass art and crystal ornaments (Jk•Blue) to complement the line of business and bring an architectural edge to any residential or commercial interior.
Today, the Crystallize.Me group has offices in Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai and Chengdu, China. Much of the company’s operational energy is directed to not being bound by tradition, and developing one-of-a-kind and innovative light pieces for corporations and designers alike. Equally integral to building the brand’s ethos for quality and trust is its dedication to service. Technical teams offer on-site installation and post purchase care advice to international clientele, while a procurement office in the United Kingdom provides customer support.
